Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to design and operate mission-critical networks powering our data centers and fleet of vehicles. You will lead the charge on building scalable, redundant architectures and AI-native operations to monitor health and proactively detect anomalies.

You will design end-to-end automation for provisioning, configuration management, validation, and monitoring, while rapidly upgrading network devices and servers. Expect extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience designing, operating and automating critical networks.
  • Experience with data center network architectures and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with AI-native network operations and automation tools.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design and deploy highly redundant data center networks.
  • Lead end-to-end automation of the network lifecycle: provisioning, configuration management, validation, monitoring.
  • Create and maintain AI-driven network operations to monitor health and detect anomalies.
  • Automate rapid provisioning and upgrades of network devices and servers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve networking hardware and software issues.
  • Optimize performance across hardware, topologies, protocols and software.

SR. NETWORK ENGINEER

The Network Engineering team designs and operates the mission critical networks for our data centers that power our internal operations. These networks are highly redundant, secure, and high-performance architectures that are rapidly scaling to support our internal needs & our fleet of vehicles. You will lead the charge on designing new architectures, innovating on AI-native operations and challenging the status quo on creating world class networks.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Architect, design, & deploy highly redundant data centers for mission critical operations
  • Lead end to end automation of the network lifecycle:provisioning, configuration management, validation, monitoring
  • Create andmaintainAI-driven network operations:DesignAI and machine learning tools tomonitornetwork health, detect anomalies and pro-actively detectanomalous hardware behavior
  • Automate rapid provisioning & upgrades of network devices & servers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve networking hardware & software problems
  • Optimizeperformance across hardware, topologies,protocolsand software
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experiencedesigning,operating& automatingcritical networks
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years of experience with Juniper, Cisco, Aruba, Arista, NVIDIA hardware
  • 5+ years of experience automating network configurations & network monitoring
  • 5+ years of experience with kernel systems,linuxnetworking, high speed optical modules, RDMA
  • AI native engineer that is an expert at deploying & looping AI agents
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary
