Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience.
• Experience researching and implementing new network technologies.
• Knowledge of routing and networking technologies including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VPN, QoS, VLANs, WAN, WLAN.
• Experience supporting large-scale, multi-site global networks.
• CCNP or similar certification required.
• Self-starter who can work independently and lead initiatives.

Our Manufacturing client in Irving, TX is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to help design, optimize, and lead network infrastructure initiatives across a complex global environment.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced network professional who can lead major projects, evaluate emerging technologies, and translate business needs into reliable technical solutions. In this role, you’ll plan and implement network projects, research and validate new technologies, and partner with infrastructure, application, and vendor teams to continuously improve network performance, capacity, availability, and reliability. This is a Direct Hire opportunity and is 5 days on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, implementation, and documentation of network projects
• Research and evaluate new technologies to improve network performance, capacity, availability, and reliability
• Help define network standards and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Lead network-related initiatives for mergers and acquisitions
• Partner with internal teams, vendors, and third-party providers to deliver successful solutions
• Serve as the go-to expert for complex routing, switching, Wi-Fi, firewall, and network infrastructure issues

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience
• Experience researching and implementing new network technologies within an organization
• Strong experience with technologies such as Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto, Infoblox, Cisco ASA, ISR/ASR, Catalyst/Nexus, SD-WAN, and SASE
• Deep understanding of routing and networking technologies including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VPN, QoS, VLANs, WAN, WLAN, and more
• Experience supporting large-scale, multi-site, highly available global networks
• CCNP or similar industry certification required
• A self-starter who can work independently, collaborate across teams, and take ownership of major initiatives
