Job summary
Nokia is seeking an experienced Network Engineer in Maryland to develop high-level and low-level designs for complex network requirements. You will support capacity planning, performance analysis, and end-to-end design activities for deployment projects.
The role requires a engineering degree with 5+ years' experience, expertise in GPON/XGS/25G, SDN/NMD/NETCONF/YANG, and strong Python automation skills, along with excellent communication abilities.
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering or a technical field; at least 5 years of work experience.
- Knowledge of Access Technologies (GPON, XGS, 25G).
- Knowledge of SDAN / NETCONF / YANG.
- Knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 IP protocols, QoS.
- Knowledge of Automation using Python.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Develops HLD/LLD for medium-high complexity network requirements, capacity planning, network interface analysis, and provide overall engineering support.
- Uses planning tools in Advanced Network Planning.
- Consult and independently develops configuration file, capacity planning, network interface analysis and design, and overall engineering support based on ongoing traffic trends.
- Prepares configuration for new network elements for live and testing.
- Troubleshooting activities for live network problems or issues found during acceptance.
