Job summary

IREN is seeking a Construction Manager – Network in Childress, TX to lead the installation and integration of network infrastructure for data center projects. You will oversee structured cabling, fiber optics, and networking hardware, coordinating with contractors and internal teams to ensure on‑time, compliant delivery.

This role requires strong leadership and meticulous project management in a high‑stakes environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree advantageous; equivalent military or trade school experience in low-voltage systems or network infrastructure considered.
  • Minimum 7 years in network infrastructure or low-voltage construction, with at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in data center environments or mission-critical facilities preferred.
  • Knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optics, networking hardware; familiar with TIA/EIA, BICSI, NFPA.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise subcontractors and technicians installing network infrastructure.
  • Maintain execution schedule and communicate expectations to installation team.
  • Track field events and progress toward completion.
  • Review drawings and specs to ensure installations meet requirements.
  • Monitor progress against schedules; report status to leadership.
  • Conduct inspections for compliance with standards and safety.
  • Oversee material deliveries, equipment staging, and inventory.
  • Troubleshoot field issues and provide technical guidance.

The Construction Manager – Network oversees the installation and integration of network infrastructure during data center construction projects. This includes structured cabling, fiber optic systems, and networking equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and industry best practices. The role requires coordination with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality network systems that support mission‑critical operations.

Job requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree advantageous for managing large teams or complex projects; equivalent military or trade school experience in low-voltage systems or network infrastructure will also be considered.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in network infrastructure or low-voltage construction, including at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in data center environments or other mission‑critical facilities (e.g., hospitals, telecom hubs, or industrial plants) is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems, fiber optics, and networking hardware
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as TIA/EIA, BICSI, NFPA, and construction safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, proven ability to manage subcontractor performance and coordinate multiple trades.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage schedules and project timelines.
  • Certifications such as BICSI, RCDD, or OSHA 30 are a plus.
Other important requirements
  • Pre‑employment screening, including background check and substance testing may be required according to company policies.
  • Must provide own steel‑toed work boots; other PPE will be supplied.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to the work site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work.
  • Must be comfortable working a rotational schedule, which includes day and night shifts as well as weekend work, based on project needs.
  • Employees working night shifts will receive a 15% premium added to their hourly rate only for hours worked during night shifts.

Compensation
  • The expected hourly rate for this role is $82.00 USD.
    • Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications.
  • Per Diem amount of $180.00 and project allowance, when applicable
  • 15% night-shift premium for eligible roles, when applicableOvertime compensation for non-exempt workers for hours worked over 40 per week
  • Relocation and Living-out-allowance (as applicable and based on successful candidate circumstances)
