Job summary

BLACKBEARD OPERATING, LLC seeks a Network Administrator to implement, secure, and manage the company’s infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, Azure cloud, and telecom systems. You will configure physical and virtual servers and workstations, automate backups, and contribute to security and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with management, vendors, and peers, report to the Director of IT, and be based in Fort Worth, TX with some travel to field sites; occasional remote

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred; training or coursework in Network Administration and/or Computer Science required
• 5+ years of Network Administration and IT support experience in multi-location environment
• 3+ years of experience with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
• 2+ years Nutanix experience preferred
• CCNP certification preferred; other coursework or certifications a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Office 365 administration, and SharePoint administration preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day network operations in a predominantly Windows environment
• Maintain and monitor network performance, identify and resolve issues
• Implement and support network technologies (switches, routers, firewalls)
• Maintain LAN/WAN, DNS, and DHCP infrastructure
• Manage virtual environment (Nutanix), O365, Active Directory, and security
• Plan, perform, and automate backups of servers and workstations
• Install OS and applications and set up remote access
• Use scripting to drive process improvements
• Evaluate and propose network improvements for current and future needs
• Maintain network documentation for future reference
• Collaborate to resolve infrastructure, security, and development issues
• Make decisions within policy and communicate obstacles to goals
