Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a senior solutions engineer in a hybrid role (Plano, TX) to lead full-stack development for network automation and monitoring platforms. You will design, build and maintain large-scale applications, emphasizing security, observability and IaC practices.

You will work in Agile teams, mentor engineers, and drive improvements in delivery speed and reliability across global network deployments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of related software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, Node.js, React and Kubernetes.
• Experience with GitHub source control, PR workflows and automated pipelines.
• Knowledge of AI fundamentals applied to automation and developer productivity.
• Networking fundamentals and exposure to Dell SONiC, Cisco ACI and Arista environments.
• Strong observability practices and security-focused development.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, enhancement and support of network deployment and administration apps.
• Build full-stack services using Python, Java, JavaScript, Node.js, React and Kubernetes with IaC practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and drive team velocity and product performance.
• Manage source control, branching and CI/CD workflows to ensure reliable delivery.
• Conduct security reviews and peer-code reviews prior to deployment.
• Incorporate AI-assisted tooling to advance automation and operational efficiency.
• Develop observability into applications with metrics, logging and telemetry.
• Mentor staff and foster cross-functional collaboration across teams.
