Job summary

Sarela Technology Solutions, LLC seeks a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and sustain enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure for a high-security DoD environment in Fort Belvoir, VA or Albuquerque, NM. You will work on Cisco routing/switching, Palo Alto firewalls, and GlobalProtect VPNs with a focus on secure, scalable networks.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, DoD RMF/STIGs, and TS/SCI eligibility.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus 8+ years in network engineering; DoD experience preferred.
Active DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, or equivalent).
Active CCNA certification.
Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Extensive experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise Cisco network infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, DDI, NAT, VLANs, QoS, OSPF, MPLS, SASE.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN and WAN infrastructure.
Engineer and support Cisco routing and switching environments for mission-critical networks.
Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize routing/switching technologies (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP).
Support WAN connectivity via MPLS, VPN, and Internet transports.
Configure and maintain Palo Alto firewalls; support GlobalProtect remote access and site-to-site VPNs.
Monitor network health, analyze performance, and resolve bottlenecks.
Develop and maintain engineering documentation, diagrams, and SOPs.
Collaborate with cybersecurity to ensure RMF, STIGs, and Zero Trust alignment.
