Job summary

San Diego State University is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer/Architect to shape SDSU's enterprise network across campuses, data centers, and research environments. You will design, deploy, and modernize wired and wireless networks while aligning with security, resiliency, and performance goals.

Qualifications

Extensive experience supporting enterprise wired and wireless networks.
Advanced routing and switching, including security and high availability.
Experience with Aruba, ALE, ClearPass, or similar platforms.
Ability to design, implement, and validate complex enterprise network solutions.

Responsibilities

Design and evolve enterprise wired and wireless network architectures.
Lead university-wide infrastructure projects from design to deployment.
Provide senior guidance on routing, switching, security, and observability.
Review vendor designs to ensure SDSU standards and security.
