Job summary

San Diego International Airport is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead design, implementation, and modernization of the enterprise network. The role spans routing, switching, wireless, security, data center, and SDN, with oversight across vendors and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate brings enterprise networking expertise, independent work style, and strong documentation habits to ensure resilient, secure infrastructure supporting airport operations.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressive IT/networking experience, emphasis on security systems.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or closely related field.
• CCNP certification may substitute for two years of education.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, and maintain enterprise routing, switching, wireless, firewall, VOIP, and VPN technologies.
• Lead network modernization efforts including wireless upgrades and construction-phase builds.
• Develop and maintain network diagrams, architecture docs, and standard operating procedures.
