Job summary

Vervic Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise networks in a secure, cleared environment in Washington, DC.

The role emphasizes ownership across lifecycle stages, strong networking depth, and leadership of junior engineers. You will architect and troubleshoot multi-site Cisco-heavy networks, lead outage analyses, mentor staff, and collaborate across teams to deliver secure connectivity and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years network engineering experience in secure/cleared environments
• Active TS clearance; must be able to obtain TS/SCI
• Professional certification required; Expert-level preferred (CCIE, JNCIE, etc)
• Experience with progressive responsibilities that amount to “senior”
• DoD 8140 compliance required

Responsibilities

• Architect, engineer, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise networks (multi-vendor but Cisco-heavy, multi-site, dense with technology). This includes network security.
• Lead root cause analysis for outages and performance issues.
• Engaging teams with other expertise on relevant projects and systems.
• Communicate issues clearly to teammates and leadership and collaborate on resolution.
• Mentor less-senior engineers and technicians.
