Job summary

Innovative Management Concepts, Inc. in Honolulu seeks a principal network designer to lead modernization across DoD environments.

This on-site role demands expert engineering leadership, high availability designs, and ability to translate requirements into robust network architectures. Responsibilities include mentoring engineers, reviewing designs for security, coordinating across time zones, and delivering reference designs for reuse.

Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance eligibility day one and prior to entry on duty.
• 15+ years of progressively responsible network engineering experience, incl. 7+ years in senior architect roles.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (network engineering, CS, information systems, EE, cybersecurity).
• Expert knowledge of enterprise routing/switching, BGP/OSPF, MPLS, QoS, firewalls, SDN, WAN transport, encryption, monitoring and high availability.
• Experience designing large DoD networks with NIPR/SIPR; JWICS/CENTRIX/CSfC familiarity.
• Ability to lead engineers, enforce standards, and brief executives clearly.
• Must be a US citizen and eligible for DoD clearances.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise network architecture for distributed commands and sustainment across Hawaii, Pacific, Alaska, Japan, and CONUS locations.
• Lead Tier 3/4 routing, switching, transport, security, and cross-domain interfaces; mentor engineers.
• Review designs for cybersecurity impact, interoperability, and支 sustainment; ensure traceability and configuration control.
• Provide technical transition packages and risk-driven recommendations for contract continuation.
