Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Seattle to design, deploy and support our global network. You will manage LAN/WAN, data center core, wireless, firewalls, VPNs and cloud connectivity while ensuring performance and security.

You will lead projects, mentor peers, and partner with security and operations to implement automation, scripting and IaC approaches. A strong Cisco/VMware background with Azure experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise network environments (Cisco routing, switching and firewalls, IPSec VPN, ISE).
• 3+ years of virtualization platforms (Nutanix AHV or VMware vSphere).
• 2+ years of experience with enterprise load balancers (F5).
• 3+ years with private/public cloud integrations, including Azure, SaaS and IaaS architectures.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain LAN/WAN, data center core, wireless, firewalls, VPN and cloud connectivity.
• Lead infrastructure projects from design through handover and mentor team members.
• Provide front-line support and act as escalation point for Service Desk and operations teams.
