Job summary

1571 Global Outsourcing Svcs seeks an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate a global network across on‑prem data centers and AWS cloud. Expect hands‑on work with TCP/IP, VPN, firewall configurations, and cloud networking, with a focus on secure, resilient connectivity.

You will drive complex projects, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and use data and Excel for capacity, cost, and performance insights. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience engineering and administering global network environments.
• Deep expertise in core networking: TCP/IP, subnetting, routing protocols, switching, DNS, DHCP, QoS.
• Strong hands-on experience with VPN and tunneling technologies, including site-to-site VPN design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience installing, configuring, and managing enterprise firewalls.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring platforms and packet-level tracing and analysis (Wireshark).
• Experience designing and managing network infrastructure in on‑prem and AWS (VPCs, VPC peering, CIDR, route tables, hybrid connectivity).
• Experience working with Cisco and other vendors; hardware deployment, config, and escalations.
• CLI-driven; scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible) a plus.
• Proven ability to drive complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent data analysis and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to convey ideas clearly.
• Familiarity with ITIL or service management frameworks.
• Leadership of engineering teams and projects.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Cisco CCNP or equivalent and AWS certs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Network architecture, design, and maintenance across on‑prem and AWS.
• Hands-on core networking: TCP/IP, routing, VPN, tunneling, firewall management.
• Configure and manage AWS networking: VPCs, VPC peering, transit gateways, CIDR blocks, security groups.
• Monitor and troubleshoot with Wireshark and other tools.
• Vendor management with Cisco and other vendors for hardware and support.
• Automate configuration, monitoring, and management tasks to improve efficiency.
• Drive delivery of complex network projects with milestones and issue resolution.
• Communicate strategy, status, and performance metrics to leadership.
• Collaborate with systems, cloud, security, and operations teams.
• Document network designs, configurations, topologies, and processes.
