Job summary

Runware is seeking a senior Network Architect to own the design, build, and operation of the global network that moves every inference request across data centers, backbone, and edge. Youll shape latency and cost per request, define multi-region interconnects, and lead architecture across Infrastructure, Platform, and ML Engineering.

You will lead design authority, mentor engineers, and drive capacity planning, while leveraging AI tooling to accelerate work.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in network engineering and architecture.
• At least 5 years as design authority for large-scale production networks.
• Hands-on design, configuration, and troubleshooting of networks.
• Deep expertise in spine-leaf Clos fabrics, EVPN/VXLAN, BGP at scale, 400G/800G Ethernet, RoCEv2 and lossless Ethernet, InfiniBand for GPUs.
• Strong backbone and edge experience: interconnects, transit, peering, anycast, traffic engineering, DDoS mitigation.
• Cloud and hybrid networking across multiple hyperscalers plus bare-metal or colocation environments.
• Network operations: observability, change management, incident response, on-call practices.
• Capacity planning: forecasting models turned into procurement plans.

Responsibilities

• Own the network architecture end to end and roadmap.
• Design and build GPU cluster fabric and spine-leaf topology for multi-node inference.
• Deliver fast and reliable inference to customers from backbone to edge.
• Connect cloud, bare metal, and partner capacity into one platform.
• Build network operations, telemetry, change management, and incident runbooks.
• Run capacity planning and procurement-aligned build plans.
• Automate the network with IaC and telemetry-driven remediation.
• Use AI tooling to accelerate design, configuration, and documentation.
• Lead through design authority and mentor engineers.
• Own vendor and carrier relationships and negotiate performance and cost.
