Job summary

Lactalis USA in Buffalo, NY is hiring a Network Administrator to join a team that builds and maintains LAN/WAN, VOIP, and security infrastructure. You will support and enhance reliability, scalability, and security.

Responsibilities include configuring routers/switches, monitoring performance, defining policies, and mentoring junior staff; travel and on-call may be required. The role offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in a computer systems related field, or possess equivalent experience in IT.
Strong knowledge base on IT systems including: LAN/WAN; SDWAN; VPN; WIFI? Cisco Switch, Router, Wireless LAN Controller; WIFI Access Points
Familiarity in routing protocols and network design, OSI model, TCP/IP, and domain services (AD, DNS, DHCP).
Experience with security tuning, documentation and policy development is a plus.

Responsibilities

Administration of routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, VOIP system, VOIP phones, smartphones, security updates and patches.
Monitor and evaluate network performance: availability, utilization, throughput, latency.
Plan and install/configure/test all network equipment.
Define network policies and procedures.
Provide technical support and guidance to Help Desk Technicians & staff.
Mentor junior team members; participate in on-call rotation.
