Job summary

M.C. Dean in Tysons, Virginia, seeks a Network Administrator 3 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit. You will design, implement, operate, and maintain complex networks to meet stakeholder needs, standards, and performance requirements.

This role requires DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher and CCNA/Network+ certifications; travel up to 25% CONUS/OCONUS is expected. You will collaborate with technicians to ensure secure, reliable network services across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of progressive network experience, or Associates Degree with 8+ years.
• HS Diploma or equivalent with 10+ years of progressive experience.
• CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Sec+).
• Experience with routing, switching, LAN/WAN, and firewall configurations.
• Knowledge of Information Assurance concepts and requirements.
• Strong communication, time-management and organization skills.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, installation, configuration, testing, operation, and documentation of complex networks.
• Assist with VPN implementations including site-to-site configurations.
• Maintain user accounts, access privileges, and security policies.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with Security System Technicians on connectivity requirements.
• Audit network components and document changes.
• Travel up to 25% annually (CONUS/OCONUS).
