Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Tech Specialist 2 for the Security and Electronic Systems unit to design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure supporting government, local, and commercial customers.

The role emphasizes field work, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of electronic security networks with a focus on reliability and teamwork across disciplines. Travel to CONUS/OCONUS sites is required; occasional nonstandard hours may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of experience in installation, testing or troubleshooting of electronic security systems.
• Associates degree with 6+ years of experience in related roles.
• Reliable attendance at customer sites during work hours as required by the customer.
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed; travel CONUS and OCONUS.

Responsibilities

• Survey field conditions and coordinate with clients to complete design engineering for communication systems.
• Maintain system documentation, test reports, and measurement data for senior staff.
• Design support: model network throughput and SLA classifications; assist in creating and updating testing/commissioning procedures.
• Perform hardware/software upgrades and maintenance on security networks; monitor performance and resolve issues.
