Job summary

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, NAC.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, Wireless, VPN, Data Center).
• Configuration and troubleshooting of network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and OT network devices.
• Develop and maintain network diagrams, documentation, SOPs and policies.
• Oversee network hardware/software upgrades and lifecycle management.
• Identify and mitigate network security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Administer firewalls (Fortinet preferred), NAC, SIEM, and VPN solutions.
• Monitor network traffic and logs for anomalies and threats.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure secure integration of new technologies and services.
• Mentor junior administrators and serve as a subject matter expert.
• Lead strategic planning and technical discussions for network initiatives.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.

Preferred

• Relevant industry certifications (Aruba/HPE, CCNA/CCNP, CISSP, CompTIA)
• Experience with cloud networking and security in Azure/AWS.
• Experience with Fortinet firewalls, Aruba/HPE Airwave, Aruba/HPE ClearPass, and SIEM.

U.S. BASE SALARY RANGE

$92,225.60 - $138,338.40

This base salary range reflects the typical compensation for this role across U.S. locations.

Our salary ranges are determined by role and level; individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, work location, and internal equity. The range provides the opportunity for growth and progression as you develop within the role.

Base pay is one part of our U.S. total compensation package which includes eligibility in the Axcelis Team Incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive benefits package (for regular employees working 20+ hours a week).
