Job summary

Axcelis Technologies is seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive new product development and revisions, and to plan and manage engineering resources for assigned products. You will lead all technical work to optimize development, minimize risk, and ensure robust designs through the product lifecycle.

You will balance requirements, budget, and schedule, develop requirements, coordinate with manufacturing and suppliers, and ensure proper documentation and transfer to production.

Qualifications

• BS in ME, EE, CS, CSE, Physics or equivalent technical degree or experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of increasing managerial experience is required.
• MBA degree a plus.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and speak English sufficiently well to perform job functions

• Plan for and manage personnel resources for engineering projects related to assigned products.
• Manage all technical / engineering work related to assigned products to optimize development, minimize risk and ensure solid designs.
• Manage projects related to assigned products, balancing requirements, budget, and schedule.
• Develop project requirements and support Product Requirements Document and Market Requirements Specification creation.
• Manage products through the development cycle: concept, feasibility, prototype, alpha/beta, release and sustaining engineering.
• Lead transfer of new products from Engineering to Production and ensure customer documentation is created.

• Manage all technical / engineering work related to assigned products. Understand all technical aspects of assigned products to effectively optimize development activities, minimize risk, ensure complete and solid designs, ensure complete validation and verification criteria, and ensure prudent technical and design decisions. Collaborate with a lead engineer on these activities.
• Manage projects related to assigned products, balancing requirements, budget, and schedule.
• Develop project requirements. Support Product Requirements Document and Market Requirements Specification creation. Manage products through the product development cycle, which includes:
• Concept phase including task, project and/or product charter.

U.S. BASE SALARY RANGE

$152,534.40 - $228,801.60

This base salary range reflects the typical compensation for this role across U.S. locations.

Our salary ranges are determined by role and level; individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, work location, and internal equity. The range provides the opportunity for growth and progression as you develop within the role.

Base pay is one part of our U.S. total compensation package which includes eligibility in the Axcelis Team Incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive benefits package (for regular employees working 20+ hours a week).
