Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support SITEC3 Enterprise Operations. You will plan, design, install, and manage complex NetOps across DoD networks, ensuring security, performance, and reliability for USSOCOM environments.

Requires TS/SCI clearance, CCNA or higher, and extensive experience with LAN/WAN, security protocols, and data center networking. Onsite at Fort Bragg, NC with occasional IMAC and O&M tasks.

Qualifications

• A DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level is required.
• Education & Experience Equivalency: BS + 8 years of experience OR MS + 6 years of experience OR HS with 12 years of experience OR AA with 10 years of experience.
• Must be DoW 8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 441 - Network Operations Specialist- Intermediate level or higher and CCNA.
• Detail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge of networking hardware and software.
• Must have extensive experience in network design, LAN/WAN interfacing, security, TCP/IP and server/network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Tests and analyzes elements of network facilities, including power, software, security features, devices, lines, modems, and terminals.
• Planning, modeling, simulation, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of the network.
• Monitors and controls performance and status of network resources and diagnoses complex problems.
• Keeps technical skills updated and studies vendor products to meet Government needs.
• Provides guidance for junior network support technicians.
• Offers comprehensive systems and network engineering and architectural planning services.
• Interfaces with O&M personnel and supports projects as directed.
• Reviews existing architectures and assists with design and implementation of improvements.
• Establishes systems engineering focusing on end-to-end functionality of complex systems.
• Performs disaster recovery and backup/restore.
