ERS is seeking a Field Engineer – Electrical Testing (NETA Level III/IV) in Boise, ID. Role involves testing electrical power systems up to 500kV, conducting system studies, and mentoring junior technicians.

Up to 75% travel regionally/nationally with a competitive compensation package including per diem, signing bonus, and company vehicle. Candidate must hold NETA III/IV, have 7+ years HV testing experience, and be proficient with test equipment like Doble, Megger, Omicron, and Dranetz.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on electrical testing experience in medium/high voltage environments.
• NETA Level III or IV certification (current and in good standing).
• Ability to read and interpret one-line/three-line diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; willing to travel regionally up to 75%.
• Compliance with NETA MTS/ATS, NFPA 70E, OSHA safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, microprocessor-based).
• Mentor Level I/II technicians in the field; serve as technical lead on project teams.
