Job summary

Vertiv's Electrical Reliability Services (ERS) / High Voltage Maintenance (HVM) division seeks a Field Engineer – Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to lead testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV. You will travel regionally up to 75% and mentor technicians while ensuring top-quality commissioning and maintenance results.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III or IV certification current and in good standing.
• 7+ years hands-on electrical testing experience in medium/high voltage environments.
• Proficiency with NETA MTS/ATS standards.
• Experience with test equipment: Doble, Megger, Omicron, Dranetz, SKF.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line, three-line diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel regionally up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based).
• Interpret test results and author engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Mentor Level I/II technicians and serve as technical lead on project teams.
• Maintain compliance with NETA MTS/ATS, NFPA 70E, OSHA safety requirements.
