Job summary

Targa Resources is seeking a Senior Application Developer to design, develop, integrate, and support critical business applications for midstream operations. This is a hands-on role collaborating with technical leaders, stakeholders, and vendors to deliver secure, scalable solutions built with .NET, REST integrations, and SQL Server.

You will own the development of in-house apps, drive CI/CD in Azure DevOps, and apply secure coding practices while balancing new features with technical debt

Qualifications

• 10 years hands-on software development experience building and supporting enterprise applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong development experience with modern .NET web applications (.NET 8, C#, ASP.NET Core).
• Experience designing, building, and consuming REST API integrations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, including T‑SQL, stored procedures, query tuning, and schema design.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps source control, work item tracking, build, and release pipelines.
• Experience with development using object‑oriented design, SOLID principles, and common design patterns.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop in-house business applications using modern .NET, Microsoft SQL Server, and related technologies.
• Develop, configure, and support third‑party integrations via REST APIs and vendor SDKs.
• Author solution and technical design documents.
• Follow architectural standards with the Architecture team.
• Conduct peer code reviews and enforce security and quality standards.
• Address production issues and perform root-cause analysis and fixes.
• Drive CI/CD improvements, including pipelines in Azure DevOps and Git workflows.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to refine requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Create and maintain deployment runbooks and knowledge-base articles for long-term sustainability.
• Apply secure development practices throughout the lifecycle.
