Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a Senior .NET/SQL Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise applications with a strong focus on SQL Server, XML/XSD processing, and modern web development.

You will work with stakeholders, DevOps, and production teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions while contributing to CI/CD and security hardening in an Azure IaaS environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, with performance tuning and error handling.
• Strong experience with XML data types, XQuery/XPath, and XSD validation.
• Proven C# and .NET Framework development experience, including WCF and Web API.
• Experience building modern web apps using Angular and TypeScript.
• Solid Git/GitHub workflows, CI/CD, and Jira-based Agile delivery.
• Azure IaaS experience and release/change management participation.
• Knowledge of application security, including remediation with Snyk.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize complex T-SQL stored procedures for XML data with XSD validation.
• Lead XSD migration initiatives, including changes to WCF services and Web API integrations.
• Develop and maintain Angular front-end features and .NET Web API/WCF back-end components.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Prepare and manage deployment change requests with validated production scripts.
• Partner with SRE/DevOps to build CI/CD pipelines and Azure IaaS patching.
• Remediate security vulnerabilities using Snyk and maintain dependencies.
• Create architecture, design, and operational documentation.
• Develop and execute unit tests using MSTest and support QA activities.
