Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a Senior .NET / SQL Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise apps with strong SQL Server, XML/XSD, and modern web tech focus. You will work with stakeholders, DevOps, and production teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

Responsibilities include T-SQL stored procedures, WCF/Web API integrations, Angular front-end work, deployment change control, and CI/CD with GitHub in an Azure IaaS environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Hands-on experience with XML data types, XQuery/XPath, and XSD validation.
• Proven experience with C# and .NET Framework development including WCF and Web API.
• Experience developing modern web apps using Angular (v15+).
• Strong Git/GitHub workflows and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Azure IaaS release management.
• Knowledge of vulnerability remediation using tools like Snyk.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize T-SQL stored procedures for XML data using XSDs.
• Lead XSD migration work, updating related WCF and Web API integrations.
• Develop Angular front-ends and .NET Web API/WCF back-end components.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to turn requirements into designs and DB schemas.
• Prepare change requests and validated deployment scripts for production.
• Partner with SRE/DevOps to maintain GitHub CI/CD pipelines and Azure patches.
• Remediate security vulnerabilities and keep frameworks up to date.
• Create architecture, design, implementation, and operational docs.
• Develop and run unit tests with MSTest and support QA.
