Job summary

Ascensus is seeking a Software Engineer to join a high-energy, collaborative team delivering innovative software using modern engineering practices. You will leverage C# and the .NET framework to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications and customized extensions for content capture and storage platforms such as Kofax.

You will modernize legacy systems, including migrat­ing VB6 applications to .NET 4.5+, and work in an agile environment focused on automation, CI/CD, and rapid delivery

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years .NET and C# development.
• Experience with Kofax Capture or similar content capture systems.
• Experience modernizing and migrating VB6 to .NET 4.5+.

Responsibilities

• Protect confidential data and ensure data security according to SLAs.
• Translate storyboards and use cases into scalable software solutions.
• Design, develop, test, document, and maintain .NET applications in C#, ASP.NET.
• Develop extensions for Kofax to improve content capture.
• Improve performance, scalability, and responsiveness of applications.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in the full SDLC and Agile ceremonies.
• Support process improvements and modernization efforts.
• Migrate legacy VB6 systems to .NET 4.5+.
• Develop and consume REST/SOAP web services and integrate them with existing apps.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, DevOps, and support teams for deployments.
• Apply CI/CD and automation in release pipelines.
• Leverage AI tools to automate workflows and enhance features.
• Use Docker/Kubernetes for scalable deployment.
