Job summary

Ascensus is a leading technology and service platform powering savings plans across America. We seek a Software Engineer skilled in C# and .NET to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications, including Kofax extensions and VB6 modernization.

Join an agile team focused on automated pipelines, CI/CD, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate across Dev, QA, and DevOps to deliver reliable software and modernize legacy systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience in small to medium‑scale business environments.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining .NET applications in C# for at least 3 years.
• Experience with Kofax Capture or similar content capture systems preferred.
• Experience modernizing and migrating VB6 or other legacy applications to .NET 4.5+.
• Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework 4.5+, and related technologies.
• Strong understanding of OOP and SOLID design principles.
• Experience with SQL Server or Oracle databases; design of schemas and stored procedures.

Responsibilities

• Translate storyboards and use cases into scalable software solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain efficient .NET applications using C# and ASP.NET.
• Develop extensions for Kofax applications to improve content capture and processing.
• Improve application performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues per SLAs.
• Participate in SDLC activities and Agile ceremonies.
• Migrate legacy systems from VB6 to .NET 4.5+ and modernize architectures.
• Develop and consume REST/SOAP web services and integrate with existing apps.
