Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to lead design, development and delivery of scalable enterprise applications. Remote work is available, with the role open to Hartford, CT or any location in the United States.

You will mentor teams, govern technical delivery, and collaborate with stakeholders across offshore and onsite groups while championing secure coding practices and modern .NET technologies.

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on experience developing enterprise applications with C# and the .NET platform.
• Strong experience with ASP.NET, including MVC, Web API, or Web Forms.
• Experience building modern applications with .NET Core and .NET 5 or .NET 6.
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs and working with ADO.NET and Entity Framework.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical design, code reviews, troubleshooting, and delivery in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Scrum ceremonies and coordinate onsite and offshore teams to deliver sprint commitments on time.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and lead application architecture, high-level design, and low-level design discussions.
• Develop solutions hands-on with .NET technologies while championing coding standards, security guidelines, and engineering best practices.
• Serve as a technical point of contact for implementation and production support, troubleshoot complex issues, conduct code reviews, and communicate resolutions clearly.
• Mentor team members and strengthen delivery through technical governance, estimation, risk management, deployment planning, and continuous improvement.
