Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a NET Architect w/ AWS to design and deliver scalable web applications that support critical business initiatives. You will collaborate with product owners, architects, UX designers, QA, and backend developers to build modern, high-performing solutions.

In this hybrid role, you will work up to 3 days per week in Hartford, CT, with flexible arrangements based on project needs. You will lead technical discussions, mentor teams, and ensure secure, maintainable architectures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with React.js, C#, .NET Core, AWS, PostgreSQL.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs, including authentication and error handling.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL performance, data validation, and indexing concepts.
• Proven experience with GitHub-based source control, PRs, code reviews, and branching strategies.
• Strong understanding of responsive web design, cross-browser compatibility, and mobile-first development.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor development teams.
• Excellent communication with technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop modern web apps using React.js, C#, .NET Core, AWS, and PostgreSQL.
• Lead development of reusable UI components and promote front-end best practices.
• Integrate, troubleshoot, and optimize REST APIs for backend communication.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews and mentoring.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Support performance, accessibility, browser compatibility, and production issue resolution.
• Manage source code and workflows using GitHub with proper branching and PR practices.
