Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation in the United States is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and modernize enterprise healthcare payer applications, including claims processing, eligibility, benefits, and provider services.

You will work across .NET, Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, React, Angular, and Azure, building scalable microservices and secure APIs while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of software development experience building enterprise-scale applications.
• Strong proficiency in .NET Framework, C#, Java, and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Hands-on expertise with Node.js and RESTful API development.
• Experience developing front-end applications using React and Angular.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services, deployment, monitoring, and scalability.
• Understanding of healthcare payer operations including eligibility, benefits, claims adjudication, and provider management.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise applications using .NET, Java, and Spring Boot to support payer operations.
• Build and maintain microservices-based architectures for scalable, secure services.
• Develop modern UIs using React and Angular to improve efficiency and UX.
• Implement cloud-native solutions using Azure services.
• Create and support REST APIs and integration services with Node.js.
• Perform code reviews, testing, and performance optimization across full-stack apps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate payer requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure security, privacy, and compliance with healthcare regulations in development.
