Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and modernize enterprise healthcare payer applications. You will work with .NET, Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, React, Angular, microservices, and Azure to deliver scalable, secure solutions for claims, eligibility, benefits, and provider services.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to advance digital transformation initiatives for our client, with a Remote US work model and flexibility based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years of software development experience building enterprise-scale applications.
• Strong proficiency in .NET Framework, C#, Java, and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Hands-on expertise with Node.js and RESTful API development.
• Experience developing front-end applications using React and Angular.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services, deployment and scalability practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise applications using .NET, Java, and Spring Boot to support payer operations.
• Build and maintain microservices-based architectures for scalable, secure services.
• Develop modern user interfaces using React and Angular for improved UX.
• Implement and integrate cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure.
• Create and support REST APIs and integration services with Node.js and microservices patterns.
• Perform code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate payer requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare security, privacy, and regulatory requirements through secure development practices.
