Cognizant in Dearborn, MI is seeking a Senior iOS Developer for a hybrid role. You will own end-to-end iOS projects, guiding architecture, security, and performance while collaborating with product partners to translate requirements into actionable tickets.

In this role, you will:

• Lead end to end technical ownership of native iOS applications by translating product vision into robust secure and scalable mobile solutions that align with enterprise objectives and user experience standards.
• Provide technical direction for Swift based iOS architecture and design ensuring modular reusable components and clear patterns that support maintainability testability and long term platform evolution.
• Drive product backlog management in Jira by refining epics and stories prioritizing technical dependencies and ensuring clear acceptance criteria that reflect business outcomes and measurable value.
• Collaborate with business analysts and product partners to analyze requirements validate assumptions and convert complex business processes into intuitive mobile workflows and interface designs.
• Can take vague verbal or written requirements (from stakeholders, PM, client, etc.) and break them down into clear, actionable tickets/user stories
  Can write these tickets not just for themselves but for other team members too meaning they understand the codebase/architecture well enough to scope work

• This implies some degree of technical leadership or business analysis ability not just a coder who waits to be told what to build
• Oversee mobile UI design for iOS by guiding layout interaction patterns and accessibility considerations to deliver consistent user experiences across industrial and automotive use cases.
• Manage iOS development activities by mentoring engineers reviewing code and ensuring adherence to secure coding practices performance optimization techniques and platform guidelines.

What you need to have to be considered:

• 6+ years of experience in iOS development.
• Should have experience in building JIRA backlog (verbal and written) by collaborating with product owner or business analyst
  Coordinate end to end release planning and execution by aligning development testing and deployment tasks in Jira and maintaining clear visibility of risks dependencies and quality gates.
• Optimize hybrid working practices by using collaboration tools and structured ceremonies to maintain high productivity knowledge sharing and alignment across onsite and remote team members.
• Enable continuous improvement of iOS native solutions through root cause analysis code refactoring and adoption of modern frameworks and tools that improve stability performance and developer efficiency.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $55K – 114K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
