Job summary

The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking a Senior Full Stack .NET Developer to support, maintain, and enhance mission-critical applications spanning child welfare, healthcare, and statewide programs. This hands-on role covers the full stack, from front-end to DBs and reporting.

You will troubleshoot production issues, modernize legacy systems, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver secure, accessible solutions across multiple environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of .NET development experience across full stack.
• Strong SQL Server, SSRS, and API development skills.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD and deployments.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA).

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications using C# and ASP.NET/.NET tech.
• Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and middleware integrations.
• Create and troubleshoot SSRS reports supporting operations.
• Optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and queries.
• Analyze production issues and coordinate across teams for fixes.
• Support front-end updates and modernization of legacy systems.
• Manage source control and CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.
