Job summary

Software Resources seeks a Senior .NET Engineer for a long-term contract in Celebration, FL. You will support shipboard HR, labor, safety, and finance apps built in .NET, with modernization efforts and offline operation in mind.

The role requires hands-on coding, design input, and collaboration with offshore and onshore teams to deliver reliable, scalable software for crew operations. Must have strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience with .NET.
• Expert knowledge of C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core/6+, ASP.NET Web API.
• Experience with SQL Server or Oracle databases.
• Experience designing RESTful services and WCF architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Experience with Docker and containerized apps.
• Experience with logging/monitoring tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to analysis, design, programming, debugging, and enhancement of .NET applications for Crew Systems.
• Support L2/L3 ticket triage, defect analysis, and incident resolution for shipboard systems.
• Develop and maintain WCF backend services, RESTful APIs, and WPF UI components.
• Build software that performs reliably in distributed, sometimes offline, shipboard environments.
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews.
• Coordinate with offshore teams for development and production support.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.
• Translate requirements into functional and technical specs.
• Assist with modernization and cross-stack migrations with Java or other stacks.
