Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and modernize enterprise applications built on C# and the .NET ecosystem. The role focuses on transforming requirements into scalable solutions, owning major portions of the SDLC, and optimizing SQL Server data layers in Linux-based container environments.

You'll containerize .NET applications using Docker and contribute to orchestration with Kubernetes, while collaborating with business stakeholders and mentoring peers

Qualifications

• Strong experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Experience with both .NET Framework and modern .NET.
• Strong SQL Server design, queries, and performance tuning.
• Docker containerization and Linux environments.
• Kubernetes or similar orchestration familiarity.
• Git, CI/CD pipelines, and production deployments.
• RESTful API design and integration.
• Understanding distributed systems and integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and modernize enterprise applications in a .NET environment.
• Own significant portions of the SDLC from requirements to deployment.
• Work with SQL Server data layers and performance optimization.
• Containerize apps with Docker for Linux-based environments and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and document key decisions.
