Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the control software of a precision optical metrology tool. You will design, develop, test, and maintain the tool control software in C# and .NET, with emphasis on safe modularisation and robust multi-threaded execution.

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on C#/.NET in production systems.
Hardware-related development background with control or instrument interfaces.
Strong knowledge of SOLID, design patterns, and Clean Code.
Proficient in TDD and owning automated test suites.
Experience refactoring long-lived legacy codebases.
Mentor peers and conduct code reviews.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain tool control software in C# and .NET.
Drive modularisation of a mature codebase without destabilising a production system.
Build robust concurrent code with multi-threading, locking, and parallelism in .NET.
Apply TDD and strengthen automated testing, including hardware-related tests.
Conduct code reviews and mentor mid-level developers.
Troubleshoot complex issues across software and hardware boundaries.
