Job summary
Qnity in Newark, Delaware seeks a Senior Metrology & Automation Engineer in Manufacturing Technology to lead metrology and automation projects for CMP pads. The role involves advancing measurement techniques, coordinating with R&D, Manufacturing, and suppliers to deliver reliable, scalable metrology solutions.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years in metrology/automation, strong project leadership, and experience with high-precision measurements; familiarity with JMP or Minitab is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor, Master, or Ph.D. in Engineering, Polymer, Material Science, or relevant fields.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Metrology, Automation, and Manufacturing Technology.
- Experience and prior responsibilities in project leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead multifunctional project teams in scouting, design, develop, and implement new and improved metrologies.
- Create strategy, design, and launch metrology and equipment automation efforts
- Lead new technology qualification and change management with customers
- Work with stakeholders to develop and manage project execution with well-defined milestones, timelines & resource need
- Interface with High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) teams to establish best practices in sustaining metrology stability, capability, parts and spares, and maintenance cadence
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause investigations for metrology and system issues
