Openkrill is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Backend (.NET) to join our fast-growing tech team. You will design, build and evolve a cloud-based platform, contribute to architecture, code quality and engineering best practices, and mentor peers.

This hands-on role focuses on C# .NET backend services, PostgreSQL, distributed systems, and cloud work (GCP preferred). You will collaborate with product and QA to deliver scalable, secure systems and improve observability and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and building backend services in production with C#/.NET.
• Strong PostgreSQL experience with data modeling and tuning.
• Experience with Redis or similar caching solutions.
• Hands-on cloud experience (GCP preferred; Azure/AWS also relevant).
• Experience designing event-driven systems and using messaging tools.
• Solid REST API design, patterns, observability, and security basics.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple streams in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication to explain technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design & Build: Develop end‑to‑end backend services and API features in C# .NET.
• Technical Quality: Write well-tested code and apply clean code and design patterns.
• Delivery & Planning: Collaborate with product and QA to refine scope and estimates.
• System Health & Security: Ensure security, observability, and incident response.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and drive fixes for developer experience.
• Collaboration: Participate in design/code reviews and mentor peers with pairing.
