Job summary

Openkrill is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to own end-to-end product development for a grant-funding platform. You will work across the frontend, backend, infrastructure, and AI pipeline, shaping technical decisions and product architecture as one of the first engineering hires.

You will drive AI-enabled features, prompt engineering, and robust production systems while maintaining a usability-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Professional experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Strong Postgres depth, including JSONB, performance, and migrations.
• Full-stack capabilities across Next.js/React Query, Express, BullMQ, and AWS.
• Hands-on AI pipelines in production and experience with LLMs.
• Strong prompt engineering, context management, and AI evaluation.
• Autonomy, ownership, and usability-focused problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship end-to-end product features across frontend and backend.
• Work across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and AI pipeline.
• Translate user problems into production-ready solutions with the grant team.
• Design usable interfaces that genuinely work for end users.
• Own problems from discovery to production deployment.
• Improve workflows and automation to accelerate project delivery.
