Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior NEPA and Permitting Lead to join our Environment Team in Philadelphia, PA; Edison, NJ; Alexandria, VA; or Laurel, MD. You will manage NEPA documentation, coordinate permitting, and lead client engagements across transportation, aviation, federal, and energy sectors.

The role requires 15+ years in NEPA with strong writing and communication skills. Travel to project sites and collaboration with in-house staff and consultants are expected.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of NEPA experience and permitting knowledge with leading EAs and EISs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Sciences, Natural Resources or related field; Master’s degree a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review NEPA and planning documents with federal lead agencies for transportation, aviation, Federal, and energy markets.
• Prepare scopes and fees for NEPA and permitting projects.
• Coordinate and lead NEPA and permitting projects with varying complexity, ensuring schedule adherence.
• Coordinate with designers and project teams to identify flaws, delays, and opportunities to avoid impacts.
• Build and maintain relationships with public and private clients and regulatory agencies.
• Lead and support pursuits and contribute to NEPA and permitting growth strategies.
