Job summary
Versar Global Solutions seeks a Senior NEPA Specialist / Project Manager to lead federal environmental planning, NEPA reviews, EAs and EISs, and related documentation.
The role requires extensive NEPA experience, regulatory knowledge, and exceptional technical writing, with coordination across federal agencies and multidisciplinary teams. Remote, hybrid, or office options may be available depending on assignment.
Qualifications
- Ten or more years of NEPA-related environmental planning experience.
- Experience preparing EISs, EAs, CATEX, FONSIs, and RODs.
- Experience supporting U.S. federal agencies and federally managed environments.
- Strong written and oral communication for federal decision makers.
- Ability to travel to federal sites up to 25%.
Responsibilities
- Lead NEPA documentation and reviews for federal actions.
- Advise on NEPA strategy, scope, and schedule.
- Coordinate site visits and kickoff meetings.
- Develop purpose and need statements and alternatives.
- Manage interdisciplinary studies across resources.
- Prepare notices, FONSIs, and Records of Decision.
- Lead QA reviews for clarity and traceability.
