Job summary

Charles River Laboratories is seeking a supervisor to oversee the necropsy laboratory and lead technical personnel. You will act as the primary contact for your area, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and efficient study-related activities in a regulated environment.

The role requires 3–5 years of pathology lab experience with supervisory exposure; ALAT or higher certification is preferred, and strong teamwork and data recording skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in biological science recommended.
• Experience: 3–5 years of pathology laboratory experience with supervisory experience desired (6 months to 1 year).
• Certification/Licensure: ALAT or above preferred.
• Must be able to work effectively as a team member and communicate professionally with management, coworkers, and sponsors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operational activities and supervision of staff; ensure optimum group performance.
• Manage inventory and supply ordering.
• Oversee development of special procedures and protocol-specific processes.
• Provide guidance and training to staff with development of soft skills.
• Supervise procedures for sample receipt, handling, tracking, transfer, and shipping.
• Assist in coordinating, planning and scheduling laboratory projects.
