Job summary

Accelera in Tampa, FL seeks a Senior NDT Technical Authority to lead nondestructive examination programs, driving technical governance, ensuring personnel competency, and implementing advanced testing strategies for safety-critical components.

You will act as final authority for RT, PT, VT and UT methods, oversee certification programs per SNT‑TC‑1A and NAS 410/EN 4179, mentor staff, and spearhead adoption of CT and digital imaging workflows.

Qualifications

• ASNT NDT Level III certification in RT, PT, VT, UT is required.
• 8+ years in an NDT leadership role within high-consequence manufacturing.
• Experience managing personnel certification programs and quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as the final technical authority for RT, PT, VT, and UT methods, establishing inspection standards and acceptance criteria.
• Dispositions on complex non-conforming materials to minimize quality costs and prevent defect escapes.
• Spearhead validation and integration of inspection technologies, including digital radiography and advanced software systems.
• Manage lifecycle of NDT personnel certification, ensuring adherence to SNT‑TC‑1A and NAS 410/EN 4179 standards.
• Mentor and develop inspection staff to foster precision, consistency, and technical accuracy.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to harmonize inspection practices and support new product testing.
