Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, located in East Hartford, CT, seeks a senior leader to head Quality & Process Approval in NDT. You will guide certified experts, oversee supplier and internal sites, and drive NDT method improvements while coordinating with operations, engineering, and supply chain.

The role demands a strong technical background, multi-department leadership, and extensive familiarity with NDT techniques and SAP/Microsoft tools. Onsite work and a broad benefits package are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
• Knowledge of NDT Methods in an operations environment – ultrasonic, X-ray, penetrant, etch, and eddy current.
• Deep management experience leading multi-department projects and technical teams.
• Experience with SAP and Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of certified technical experts who provide support to the supply base and internal module centers.
• Foster an environment of trust, collaboration, and growth.
• Collaborate effectively with operations, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams.
• Integrate with IPTs and other internal/external customers to prioritize critical tasks.
• Work with internal business units to understand and ensure business critical industrial capacity.
• Provide technical and procedural guidance to drive NDT method enhancements.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement of existing processes to drive efficiency.
• Communicate with upper management on status and risks to programs and schedules.
• Participate in weekly status and priority meetings to upper management.
