Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Middletown, CT is seeking a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level 3 Subject Matter Expert to support Q&PA, audits, and certification efforts across module centers and suppliers. You will guide inspection systems and drive process improvements within a high-precision aerospace environment.

The role emphasizes onsite work at Middletown, with focus on Etch, FPI, ECI, and X-Ray methods, and requires the ability to obtain P&W NDT Level 3 certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years NDT experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
• Ability to gain P&W NDT Level 3 certification in an applicable method upon hiring.
• Preferred: current P&W Level 3 certification in one or multiple methods.
• Experience with training, personnel testing and auditing NDT systems.
• Experience with modern and automated inspection systems.
• Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing operations and engineering.
• Knowledge and experience with root cause and process control tools.
• Project Management and Operations Leadership experience.
• Experience with NX, SAP, and Microsoft suite.

Responsibilities

• This position will support NDT Level 3 audits, certifications, technical guidance, inspection system oversight, and process improvements.
• This position will primarily focus on supporting a business unit at our Middletown, CT facility.
• This role focuses on NDT proficiencies Etch, FPI, ECI, and X-Ray (film, digital, and computed radiography).
