Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT, is seeking a senior quality leader for the Hot Section Module Center South. You will lead a team of quality engineers, drive compliance across operations, and shape the quality program for turbine airfoil production and new engine programs.

This onsite role requires a BS in engineering, 7+ years in quality, and strong ISO 9001 experience, with a track record of reducing scrap, rework, and escapes.

Qualifications

• BS in related field, preferably engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a quality or supervisory role
• Strong familiarity with inspection tooling and techniques
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a group setting and interface directly with shop floor management; Strong interpersonal skills
• Knowledge / experience with quality systems and standards such as ISO 9001.
• Ability to prioritize workload in a high-pressure environment and multitask as required

Responsibilities

• Drive culture of compliance through strong collaboration with Operations and Manufacturing teams
• Lead team of process quality engineers to establish and execute initiatives to improve quality signature of processes
• Lead clinic investigation managers in compliance to product recall procedure and use of problem-solving tools
• Provide strategic leadership in the development and implementation of project quality plans to obtain annual reduction goals in Scrap, Rework and Repair (SRR) and escapes to flight operations and DCMA discrepancies.
• Improve manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and test processes to reduce and prevent defects and prevent quality escapes to our customers
