Job summary

Moog Military Aircraft Group in Torrance, CA is seeking a Senior NC Programmer to join the Manufacturing Engineering/NC Programming Leader, reporting to the NC Programming Manager. This onsite role offers a 9/80 schedule option and requires extensive NC programming experience on multi-axis CNC machines.

You will develop detailed NC programs, estimate setup and run times, provide technical guidance, and collaborate with design, engineering, and QA teams to optimize processes for aerospace parts.

Qualifications

• 7+ years NC programming experience on multi-axis CNC machines.
• Experience programming and troubleshooting complex machining processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred; aerospace experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Determine operations for N/C and prepare detailed program outlines with tooling and gauging for aerospace parts on CNC machines.
• Prepare operation sheets for N/C portions and estimate setup/run hours.
• Solve problems in N/C centers and improve processes for parts you are responsible for.
• Provide technical guidance to the group and coordinate with design, methods, QA, and manufacturing teams.
• Support machine shop and assembly/test by coordinating manufacturing engineering activities.
• Contribute to development of new processes and cost-reduction initiatives.
