Job summary

Moog Inc. in Torrance, CA is seeking a Senior NC Programmer to join the Military Aircraft Group. The role reports to the NC Programming Leader and offers a 9/80 schedule with on-site work at the aerospace plant in Torrance.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 7 years in NC programming for multi-axis CNC machines, with strong problem-solving skills and experience in complex machining processes. Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred, or ability to understand and follow English work instructions.
• Minimum 7 years NC programming experience on multi axis CNC machines.
• Experience with programming and troubleshooting complex machining processes on multiaxial/multifunction CNC machines.

Responsibilities

• Determine operations to be performed on NC machines and prepare detailed program outlines with tooling and gauging requirements.
• Prepare operation sheets and estimate setup and run hours for production parts and tooling hours.
• Provide technical guidance to the group and support other departments to improve processes and reduce costs.
• Work in a matrix organization and coordinate with other groups to implement solutions.
