Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Palmdale, CA is seeking a CNC programmer with strong GD&T and CAD/CAM experience. You will develop and optimize NC programs for milling and turning on various machines, using engineering drawings to define part configurations and operation sequences.

Responsibilities include selecting cutters, testing programs, and applying improvements while ensuring part quality and process efficiency in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints/sketches/drawings/specifications.
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) experience.
• Foundational metallics machining knowledge - Manual or CNC.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software (MasterCam, SurfCam, Gibbs, CATIA V5, Siemens NX, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Develops and writes programs for numerically controlled machines from engineering specs and drawings.
• Analyzes drawings to define part configuration and machine operation sequence.
• Tests and modifies existing programs for changes or improvements.
• Selects cutter choices and NC routines for efficient machining.
