Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Math, Economics, Engineering, or Naval Architecture.
Minimum Relevant Experience: >10 years.
Active SECRET security clearance.

A ship cost estimator provides cost related analysis and assessments of ships, submarines, and related ship systems.
A ship cost estimator provides technical expertise, performs parametric tradeoff studies, and assesses cost estimates.
A ship cost estimator is proficient with using modern computational tools and spreadsheets to conduct cost assessments.
Typical tools include the USN's VAMOSC databases and OSCAM suite of cost models for a variety of O&M costing tasks.
